how I work
As a psychotherapist, I create a safe and supportive space tailored to your individual needs.
Everyone’s path is unique — that’s why I adapt my approach to what suits you best.
how to start
1
// easy
initial call
We begin with a free 15–20 minute call to explore your current challenges and what you're looking for. This is a chance for us to get to know each other, answer any questions you have, and see if we're a good fit.
2
// individually
intake & assessment
In our first full session, we take time to dive deeper into your background, current situation, and emotional needs. This helps us create a holistic picture and understand where you are right now — emotionally, mentally, and practically.
3
// amicable
goal setting
Together, we’ll define your personal goals and intentions for our work. Whether you’re seeking emotional balance, clarity, or long-term change, we’ll outline a path tailored specifically to you.
Here you can book a 20-minute initial call.
frequently asked questions
Do you provide in-person sessions?
I currently only offer services virtually. You get to do therapy sessions from the comfort of your own couch!
Do you do assessments/diagnoses and prescribe medication?
As a Psychotherapist (Q), I cannot diagnose or prescribe medication. However, a diagnosis is not necessary to begin treatment. I can also point you in the right direction for an assessment if needed.
Do I need a referral to book an appointment?
Not at all! Anyone can book an appointment at Flow Virtual Therapy using the Book Now page.
What can I expect from the consult call?
The consult calls are simply to share a bit about the work that I do, as well as discuss your needs in therapy. These calls are also useful to answer any questions that you might have.
How long are session? How often should we meet?
Sessions are 50 minutes long and typically clients book weekly to get the most out of therapy. Depending on the nature/severity of the problem, they may be more or less frequent.
Weekly sessions help build a strong relationship with your therapist and build momentum towards your goals! Over time, we may taper session frequency to give you a chance to apply what you have learned in therapy on your own.
How long will I need to go to therapy to see results?
The answer to this is different for everyone. Some clients only need a couple sessions to see improvements, whereas most clients tend to need 20+ sessions to feel long lasting results.
